Scheduling Your Appointment
Appointments are recommended for routine health care visits and wellness exams. Sunshine Community Health Center endeavors to see patients in an efficient timely manner, as close to their scheduled appointment time as possible.
From time to time patients miss appointments, often through no fault of their own. However, when patients miss appointments on a chronic basis it impacts our ability to meet the community needs appropriately. Please consider this when scheduling and make every effort to not miss appointments.
Walk-in availability is limited. If your need is urgent, our staff will work with you to schedule your appointment as soon as possible. The health center maintains and manages its schedule to allow time for same day appointments. If there are no appointment times available for that day, the patient will be routed for triage and scheduling.

Health Service Referrals
Sunshine Community Health Center is your first stop for health check-ups and wellness advice. Regular visits with your primary care doctor provider can help you stay healthy.
When you need the attention of a specialist, we’ll help with referrals to qualified local and regional medical and allied health professionals.
To request a referral, speak with your medical provider. Patients are responsible for authorizing access to medical records and payment for services by the referred professional.
Sunshine Community Health Center has a limited dispensary that stocks medications for the treatment of acute and chronic conditions managed by the Clinic’s providers. Please note that the Clinic dispensary cannot fill prescriptions from non-Sunshine Community Health Center providers since it is not a pharmacy.
Medications arrive for dispensing from 3 Bears on Thursdays only. For refills please leave a message on the refill line at least 3 business days in advance. Our providers may require an office visit or lab services before prescribing refills for some medications.
If you need help paying for your medication, ask our staff about prescription assistance programs.
