Social and Family Services
This department plays a critical role in helping to break down the barriers to health care faced by low-income, uninsured and underinsured individuals and families in need that come to Sunshine Clinic. Services include case management; entitlements assistance; and referrals for food, clothing, medicine, and medical equipment. The Patient Advocate and the billing staff work to educate and enroll eligible clients into Medicaid, Medicare and other programs, and our Needy Meds staff helps patients apply for pharmaceutical company assistance programs.
Sunshine Clinic also facilitates the "Women and Children in Crisis" funds which is made possible by generous donations from the annual Bachelor's Society Auction. This fund is in place to provide medical assistance, shelter, transportation and other services to aid women in children who may be victims of domestic violence, sexual assault or find themselves in other types of crisis. To access the funds please call and ask to speak with the Patient Advocate or speak with a provider, nurse or admin staff member.
Mission Statement
