Sunshine Transit
Sunshine Transit operates as a bus whose route is determined by scheduled stops. Our purpose is to provide better health care access, including getting community members to Sunshine Clinic and to a healthy food source at the local grocery, as well as providing seniors access to their weekly luncheons. We accept individual/private donations to help keep the transit system operating.
Starting April 15, 2012 single rides are$3.00 and the multi-ride ticket will be $16 for residents/$25 for non residents.
Multi ride tickets may be purchased at the Roadhouse, Flying Squirrel Cafe and Sunshine Clinic. . Make sure to show your ID and ask for the year round resident price when purchasing.
Transportation to Willow
STC is working on expanding service. We'd love input from Willow residents on routes and times that would work best.
Car seats for Children
It is a state law that all young children need to be secured in a car seat when being transported in a vehicle. Sunshine Transit cannot carry all the appropriate seats for children, so parents will need to provide a car seat for their child when taking the Sunshine Van around town.
Students
Student tickets are available for an student needing a ride from an after school activity or to the clinic for a health appointment. See the principal for more information.
Senior Passes. Tickets are $10.00 for 6 months. Seniors must be 65 or older and be registered patients with the clinic. Please ask at the front desk.
If you need a pick up further than the one mile limit off the existing route, call us for assistance 907-733-2273 ext 279.
