Sunshine Community Health Center (SCHC) is a federally qualified health center that offers comprehensive health care to people living throughout the Upper Susitna Valley of Alaska. SCHC was founded in 1986 through a grassroots effort to bring the first basic health care option to this impoverished rural region. SCHC's Sunshine Clinic is located in the Y Community, a crossroads centered among the communities of Talkeetna, Willow and Trapper Creek. Its service area stretches nearly 160 miles along both sides of Alaska's George Parks Highway, from Willow north to Denali National Park, and into the bush communities west of the highway.Dental
As a reminder to everyone Sunshine's Dental Clinic is open-, we have two dentists on staff Dr. Burke and Dr. Kolean. Do not hesitate to call for an appointment. We also have a pediatric dentist here once a month, call the clinic for exact dates and times.
Sunshine Transit
You may purchase a single one-way ticket for $1.00 or a multiple ride ticket for $10.00. Tickets may be purchased starting Feb 24 at the Roadhouse, Sunshine Clinic, Flying Squirrel Bakery Cafe,or the Susitna Senior Center.
Sunshine Transit Van starts at 7:15 am at the Roadhouse and it will runs until 5:30 pm - last drop off at the Roadhouse. Currently schedules can be picked up at the Roadhouse, Flying Squirrel Bakery Cafe, Sunshine Clinic, Cubby's, and Moore's.
