Willow is on the move--

January 2012- Work is moving quickly on the inside now.  Rooms are taking shape. 

December 2011 - Outside of building done- working on inside- getting very close

October 14, 2011- Siding is on most of the building - windows are in- roof is done- doors should on next week!! 

August 31, 2011 - The roof is on! 

August 12, 2011- Photos of the progress being made.  The building is taking shape. 

July 27, 2011- More progress is being made.  The building is starting to come together, at least the foundation is emerging. Also note the sign that thanks our major funders. 

July 11, 2011 - Ground breaking ceremony at the site of the new Willow Clinic- Thanks to Mat Su Health Foundation, USDA, State of AK, Rasmuson, Denali Commission as well as donations from businesses and individuals

Building Goal- $2.675 million

Raised to date (7/2011) - $ 2,651,943.75

WE DID IT!  Building contract has been awarded, construction begins in July with groundbreaking on Monday, July 11th at 1:30 p.m.  We received notice that the State has awarded us $420,000.00 and The Rasmuson Foundation has awarded us $250,000.00 enabling us to reach our project goal.  We are excited as we move forward and grateful for ALL of the support that has been granted to us.

The Need!

Increasing demand for care in Willow and tremendous effort by SCHC staff resulted in the opening of a small clinic in Willow in the fall of 2003. The SCHC Willow Clinic provides comprehensive medical services for the most rapidly expanding population in Alaska.

We have already outgrown our space and a committee comprised of board and staff was established in 2007 to look into future expansion of this facility.

Here you will see a conceptual design for a new state-of-the-art 6800 sq ft clinic.
