About the event
After a long Alaska winter, it’s time to get moving again—and we’re doing it together.
Sunshine Community Health Center is proud to participate in the 100 Miles in May Challenge, a statewide initiative supporting the Healthy Futures program, which empowers Alaska’s youth to build lifelong habits of daily physical activity.
This challenge is for everyone—whether you’re walking your neighborhood, hiking local trails, biking, paddling, or just finding small ways to move more each day. Every mile you log contributes to a bigger goal: building a healthier, more active community for all.
Participants can track their progress throughout May using an easy online system and even see how they stack up on team and statewide leaderboards.
