Megan Pruitt is a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) dedicated to providing patient-centered care in rural Alaska. She brings over six years of healthcare experience to Sunshine Community Health Center, including three years of hands-on nursing practice in a variety of clinical settings.


Megan earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming and completed her LPN training at Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska. Her background includes work in psychology and behavioral health, orthopedics and trauma, neurology, and wound care.


Megan believes in building strong relationships with her patients and taking the time to listen, educate, and provide care that respects each individual’s unique needs. She is passionate about improving health outcomes while serving as a consistent, trusted presence in the community.


“I’m here to offer comfort, promote healing, and help people feel seen and supported,” Megan says. “Whether it's answering questions, managing chronic conditions, or helping someone through a tough moment, my goal is always to deliver care with compassion and respect.”

When she’s not at work, Megan enjoys the close-knit feel of rural life and is proud to serve the Alaskan community through her work at SCHC.
