Prioritize Well Child Checks & Sports Physicals—Plus a Puzzle Bonus!
As summer winds down and school approaches, Sunshine Community Health Center encourages families to schedule their children’s Well Child Checks and Sports Physicals. To add a little fun, the first 20 patients seen for either service in August will receive a FREE Sunshine CHC puzzle at checkout! It’s a thank-you for prioritizing health—and a cozy, screen-free activity as the days grow darker.
🩺 What's the Difference?
A Well Child Check is a yearly exam that provides a full picture of your child’s health and development. These visits include:
Growth and development tracking
Immunizations
Vision and hearing screening
Behavioral and emotional health check-ins
Sleep, nutrition, and safety guidance
Time to ask questions and discuss milestones
These comprehensive check-ups are key for catching concerns early and building lifelong healthy habits. Sports Physicals are focused on ensuring your child is safe to participate in physical activities. They include:
Review of personal and family medical history
Heart, lungs, joint, and muscle assessments
Screening for risks related to sports participation
Clearance form for school or team sports
While some elements overlap, Sports Physicals do not replace Well Child Checks. If your child needs both, we may be able to combine them in one visit—just let us know when scheduling.
